This platter is over 100 years old.  I cast two plaster moulds - upper and lower sections. The clay was rolled out to 1cm thickness and dried slowly over several weeks.  Two platters were decorated and fired. 

These were Bisque fired, a glaze was applied and then refired at 1240 degrees over night, and then the transfers were applied to the shiney surface and refired to 700 degrees to complete the process.  From this side view, the depth of the platter is visible
